The newsletter of the Big Bluestem Audubon Society (Ames, Iowa), Volume 22, Number 2, October 1987. Highlights of the newsletter include details on recent field trips including a Hawk Watch in which six species of hawks were observed, an update on acid rain monitoring by society members, and a report by Stephen J. Dinsmore of a birding Big Day in central Iowa in which 135 species of birds were observed in fifteen hours over a 145 mile route. |
