The newsletter of the Big Bluestem Audubon Society (Ames, Iowa), Volume 33, Number 1, September/October 1997. Highlights of the newsletter include a Birder of the Month column profiling Mary Doud, an article "To The Rescue: Helping Parent Two Baby Orioles" by Carolyn Guay, minutes submitted by Carol Robinson from the first meetings of the society in celebration of thirty years of existence, and an announcement of the renaming of the Ames High School Prairie to the Richard W. Pohl Memorial Preserve. Also included is the Big Bluestem Audubon Society events calendar for fall 1997. |
