| Description |
Field notes of birds sighted in Iowa during the spring of 1971 was compiled by Woodward H. Brown. It was preceded by his June 1, 1971 cover letter to Vernon Kleen saying "Here is the info for Field Notes," and reporting other people who may provide information. Some parts are underlined in blue, but these bird names were circled or starred: Cattle Egret, Broad-winged Hawk, Rough-legged Hawk, Osprey, Worm-eating Warbler, and Black-throated Blue Warbler. These items were used as supporting documentation for the Iowa Ornithologists’ Union Quarterly field report of spring 1971.
