Description |
Nicholas S. Halmi letter to Vernon M. Kleen regarding birds sighted around Iowa City during the 1974 - 1975 winter season. Halmi reported on the decrease in bird sighting due to changes in habitat as a result of the accidental draining of Coralville Reservoir. He also reported that a Great Blue Heron was seen for the first time in the 24 years of the Christmas Bird Count. This item was used as supporting documentation for the Iowa Ornithologists’ Union Quarterly field report of winter 1974-1975.
