| Description | Letter from Douglas C. Harr to Peter C. Petersen regarding bird sightings, May 19, 1978. The author mentioned that waterfowl around the Iowa Great Lakes were more numerous than in previous years. Notes underlined mention sightings of a Merlin near Spirit Lake and a Scarlet Tanager near Arnolds Park.
