Description James Delehant letter to Vernon M. Kleen regarding unusual birds sighted during nesting season, August 22, 1972. Twelve species of birds were sighted near Lake Manawa, De Soto Bend Refuge, Beefland International, and Folsom Lake, including the following species: White-faced Ibis, Herring Gull, Least Tern, Chuck-will's Widow, and Blue Grosbeak. This item was used as supporting documentation for the Iowa Ornithologists’ Union Quarterly field report of summer 1972.
