Description Field notes contributed by Ronald Harms, Laurens, Iowa, February 29, 1984 covered winter 1983-1984. He noted that 80% of the birds were lost in a December 21 blizzard. He noted that Ronald Reese reported a Short-eared Owl in Palo Alto County, and Joyce Rigby reported a Lark Bunting in Pocahontas County. This item was used as supporting documentation for the Iowa Ornithologists’ Union Quarterly field report of winter 1983-1984.
