Description Field notes were contributed by Diane C. Porter, Fairfield, Iowa, winter 1983-1984, with an observation from William and Jane Fleeson on a Barred Owl in Jefferson County. The only sighting from outside that county was an estimated 20 Common Turkeys in Geode State Park. Included were clippings from the Fairfield Ledger about sightings of early American Robins and a Tundra Swan, and an envelope with a Mockingbird stamp. These items were used as supporting documentation for the Iowa Ornithologists’ Union Quarterly field report of winter 1983-1984.
