Description Eldon J. Bryant letter to Thomas H. Kent was regarding spring bird sightings, Akron, Iowa, May 28, 1984. He looked for Say's Phoebes, which may have been killed by hail like other birds he saw. He noted that Buff-breasted Sandpipers were less than casual during spring migration, and how to identify them by their flight. This item was used as supporting documentation for the Iowa Ornithologists’ Union Quarterly field report of spring 1984.
