Description Field notes were contributed by James J. Dinsmore, summer 1984. Among the 39 species sighted, nests or broods of Pie-billed Grebes were seen at Colo Ponds, Union Slough NWR, and Rush Lake, Osceola County. Northern Parulas were seen at Ledges State Park. Other observers were Mike Brown and Stephen J. Dinsmore. This item was used as supporting documentation for the Iowa Ornithologists’ Union Quarterly field report of summer 1984.
