Description Tim Mason letter to Bob Howe was regarding Double-crested Cormorant nesting, June 26, 1984. A map showed where there were 10-20 Cormorant nests among the Great Blue Heron Rookery on the Mississippi River south of the mouth of Paint Creek. Tim Mason worked at the Effigy Mounds National Monument near this location. This item was used as supporting documentation for the Iowa Ornithologists’ Union Quarterly field report of summer 1984.
