Description Five Wood Duck eggs that are just beginning to hatch, June 1971. A pencil is pictured below the five eggs to give perspective on the size of the eggs. A handwritten note on the back on the photograph indicates that this was the second day since the duckling eggs pipped, or cracked the shells.
