Description Lecture notes presented May 10, 1947. Includes the paper "The Use of bird records." These papers were used for a presentation given at the 1947 annual meeting of the Iowa Ornithologists' Union and describe why bird records are kept, announces the launch of the periodical "Audubon field notes" and establishes deadlines for when field notes should be submitted for each season.
