Other observers include Joe Schaufenbuel. | Elimination of similar species: Cooper's Hawk: this species is smaller and lacks a definite white eye-stripe and black eyeline; underparts are not pale gray. | The original documentation form events occurred around 08:00:00 on November 5 and around 16:00:00 on November 7. |

Viewing Conditions: Distance: 25 yards on Nov. 5 (estimated by eyesight) and examined in hand on Nov. 7. Optics: Pentax 10 x 50 Binoculars. Light: Overcast and cloudy; intermittent rain; conditions nonetheless fairly good as the blinding influence of the sun was not encountered. |
