| Occurrence Remarks |
The documentation form by Tom Stone, Jr. is the only one submitted and forms the basis of this record. Other observers include Tom Stone. | Elimination of similar species: Female Cooper's Hawk is smaller and does not have a very clear conspicuous white stripe through the eye. I haven't seen any female Cooper's Hawk as large as the bird my dad and I saw. It was at least the size of a large Marsh Hawk. | The original documentation form event lasted from 17:15:00/17:30:00. |

Viewing Conditions: Distance: Came as close as 30 feet away and 2-10 feet above the ground. Optical equipment: 7x50 binoculars Light: was fairly good but the sun was in front of us while observing bird. The bird flew in front of a pine grove which blocked the sunlight at one time and gave us a great view of the bird. |
