Description |
Six dead mice found in a Barred Owl nest when the young owls were approximately 14 days old, April 13, 1929. The mice retrieved from the nest included three whole meadow mice, one headless meadow mouse, one whole white footed mouse, and one headless white footed mouse. In addition, the first and only pellet is also shown. Slide originally titled "Food for Owls." Rosene provides details on photograph.
