Description Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for October 31, 1988. Highlights of the update include the sighting of a first winter Little Gull and the continued presence of a Red-shouldered Hawk. Also of note were sightings of White-winged Scoters, Common Loons, Bonaparte's Gulls, and Hooded Mergansers. In addition, a Pileated Woodpecker was observed at its usual location on Credit Island.
