Description |
Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for October 17, 1988. Highlights of the update include sightings of a Long-eared Owl, Cattle Egrets, a Barn Owl, and a late Mourning Warbler. Also of note was the large number of shorebirds still present, mostly Pectoral Sandpipers and Killdeer. An interesting observation of 50 Common Starlings soaring in tandem with a Red-tailed Hawk was also reported. |
