| Description |
Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for July 25, 1988. Highlights of the update include sightings of Henslow's Sparrows and Sandhill Cranes as well as the continued presence of a Hooded Warbler. Also of note was the large number of shorebirds being observed throughout the state, including Dowitchers and a Stilt Sandpiper. In addition, a birding trip to the Lake Red Rock and Runnells area produced 75 species of birds, including Hen Harrier, American Bittern, and 8 species of shorebirds. |
