Description Field notes were contributed by Robert K. Myers, summer 1984, with two other observers. Of eighteen species observed, many Cattle Egrets were seen near Glenwood, and many shorebirds at Sweet Marsh. A singing Clay-colored Sparrow was observed in detail at Volga River R.A., and Kentucky Warbler was also found singing there. A Chuck-will's-widow was heard calling near Waubonsie. A Northern Mockingbird was nesting near Sidney. This item was used as supporting documentation for the Iowa Ornithologists’ Union Quarterly field report of summer 1984.
