Occurrence Remarks The documentation form by Barb Wilson is the only one submitted and forms the basis of this record. | Elimination of similar species: The black bill eliminates Great Egret & Cattle Egret. Immature Little Blue Herons have uniformly colored legs. Both Great Egrets & Little Blues were present & they were not feeding actively like the Snowys - not running around, that is.
Occurrence Status present
Field Number
Event Remarks Viewing Conditions: The herons were on the other side of a flooded field, rather for 100 yds? I really don't know. Mid-afternoon, looking east with a 20x scope. I watched a long time, untill [sic] I was sure of them, & they were there when I left. No books. Nobody else was there, but I called a rare bird alert at Omaha and several others saw these birds over the next few days.
