Occurrence Remarks The documentation form by Steve Dinsmore is the only one submitted and forms the basis of this record. Other observers include Gary Downs. | Elimination of similar species: Merlin eliminated by smaller size, stronger black and white barring on the undertail and by the lack of dark face markings. Accipiters sp. eliminated by broad rather than pointed wings and lack of dark face markings. Prairie falcon eliminated by lack of dark face markings, browner appearance and black axillaries. | The original documentation form event lasted from 14:35:00/14:37:00.

Event Remarks Viewing Conditions: Lighting was quite good even though it was partly overcast, the estimated viewing distance was 50'. I used Bausch and Lomb 7x35 binoculars.
