[...] I then assumed this was probably the Lesser Yellowlegs that was at this same location on 19 Nov. A few minutes later, a Northern Harrier flew by and flushed the shore birds. Open water near shore. The Loon was first noticed as it swam side by side with a Common Loon.

The documentation form by Ray Cummins is the only one submitted and forms the basis of this record. | Elimination of similar species: The Loon was slightly smaller, with a gray crown and nape compared to it's darker back. The Common Loon nape was the same color as its back. The eye was in the dark crown area unlike the Common Loon which showed white over the eye.
