In this presentation given at the 34th annual meeting of the Iowa Ornithologists' Union on May 19, 1956 Peters discusses the history of the Mourning Dove and encourages participation in the Fish and Wildlife nestling banding project. Included with the lecture notes is a flier that was sent to Iowa Legislators in 1959 urging a no vote on a measure to create a Mourning Dove hunting season.
