Letter from Philip DuMont to the editor of the Des Moines Register and Tribune dated July 7, 1928. DuMont reports that during a visit on June 12, he found dead birds, fish and turtles on the southeast shore of Little Wall Lake and speculates it may be the result of dynamiting for fish.

The journal contains 76 black and white photographs, notes on several species of fish, plant species seen, animal species seen, bird species seen, packing lists, and camping equipment and supply lists. This appears to be typed copy of an Aldo Leopold journal.
