Description Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for October 2, 1988. Highlights of the update include sightings of seabirds that have rarely been seen in Iowa, including a Magnificent Frigatebird, a Parasitic Jaeger, two Pomarine Jaegers, and a Red Phalarope. Also of note were sightings of numerous Franklin's Gulls and American White Pelicans as well as several species of shorebirds.
