Iowa RBA update for November 24, 1997. Highlights of the update include sightings of a Bohemian Waxwing, White-winged Crossbills, Common Redpolls, Long-tailed Ducks, and a first year Glaucous Gull. Also of interest were reports of an exotic Eurasian Goldfinch and an unconfirmed report of Harlequin Ducks. Also included are handwritten notes for the next week's update with sightings of a Northern Shrike and an immature Mute Swan.

Birds sighted during the 1975 spring migration at Red Rock Refuge and Lake in Iowa were reported by Gladys Black. At the end, Black noted three rare bird species reported in other locations: a Purple Gallinule in Ottumwa, two White-faced Ibis at Black Hawk Lake, Sac County, and a Swainson's Hawk banded in Ankeny. This item was used as supporting documentation for the Iowa Ornithologists’ Union Quarterly field report of spring 1975.
