Iowa RBA update for August 18, 1997. Highlights of the update include sightings of a Roseate Spoonbill, Snowy Egret, an Ibis species, and a Pacific Loon. Also of note was the large number of shorebirds passing through the state and the beginning of the Passerine movement. Also included are handwritten notes for the next week's update with sightings of a Red-necked Phalarope, Sandhill Cranes, Olive-sided Flycatcher, and a Pine Warbler.

Iowa Birdline update for October 1, 1990. Highlights of the update include the sighting of a Yellow Rail and the continued presence of two Scissor-tailed Flycatchers. Also of note was the large number of passerine migrants entering the state, including Blue Jays, Brown Creepers, Brown Thrashers, Indigo Buntings, and Yellow-rumped Warblers. Other interesting observations included early Lapland Longspurs and Red-breasted Mergansers as well as a sighting of an estimated 2400 Chimney Swifts.
