Summary of the Iowa Birdline update for March 15-June 15, 1998. Highlights of the update include sightings of a Lesser White-fronted Goose, Sprague's Pipit, Neotropic Cormorant, Black-bellied Whistling Duck, and Glossy Ibis. Other interesting observations include March sightings of a Ferruginous Hawk and Fish Crows, the first report of an adult Common Black-headed Gull in April, Black-billed Magpie and Black-necked Stilt sightings in May, and Scissor-tailed Flycatcher and King Rail sightings in June.
