Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for September 19, 1988. Highlights of the update include a recap of sightings from the fall IOU meeting, including a flyover Black-billed Magpie, nine raptor species, and a variety of Warblers for a total of 106 species seen. Also of note from around the state were observations of two rarely seen birds, a Western Tanager and a Prairie Falcon. In addition, sightings of several hundred American White Pelicans, 62 Caspian Terns, and an immature Black-crowned Night Heron were also reported.

Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for June 25, 1990. Highlights of the update include sightings of Bewick's Wrens, a Summer Tanager, a Yellow-breasted Chat, a Mississippi Kite, and a Pileated Woodpecker. Also of note were observations of many varieties of Sparrows, Warblers and Ducks.

Notes for the Iowa Birdline update for June 18, 1990. Highlights of the update include sightings of Bewick's Wrens, Lesser Yellowlegs, a Least Tern, and a Swainson's Hawk. Also of note were observations of 90 species during a breeding survey near Cedar Rapids, including three Willow Flycatchers, an Alder Flycatcher, and a Black-and-white Warbler.
